Setting up the basic PayPal payment option

1. Assuming that you already have a PayPal account, log in to your Control Panel

2. Navigate to SITE SETTINGS and click on PAYMENT MODULES

3. Click on PayPal (first PayPal entry on the list) then click INSTALL to the right

4. Next, click EDIT

5. Make sure that TRUE is selected for “Do you want to accept PayPal payments?”

6. Enter the email address associated with your PayPal account

7. Leave the rest of the fields alone and click UPDATE

Next, run a test order and select PayPal as the payment method. Please note that you do not need to enter the credit card number below since PayPal is selected.

Proceed through the check out process.

At the end of the cycle, click on COMPLETE ORDER and on the next page, click PAY NOW.

This will take you to the PayPal website where customers with a PayPal account may log in to complete the transaction.

PayPal allows GUEST PURCHASES where shoppers who do not have a PayPal account may still provide their credit card details for the purchase.
